In 1999, Krause was inducted into the Alabama Northwest Section Hall of Fame and inducted into the PGA of America Hall of Fame in 2009. He served 2 terms on the PGA Board of Directors (1994-1997; 2004-2006) and was on the PGA of America Properties Board, Inc. from 1995-1998 where he developed the PGA Golf Club at Port St. Lucie, Florida. Krause has earned two major awards during his career with the PGA including the Golf Professional of the Year Award in 2007 and the Horton Smith Award in 2002. Brent Krause has earned many accomplishments during his career as a PGA Professional and continues to grow the game.

Several factors can contribute to turf not performing at its best. This presentation will provide an overview of the top reasons why turfgrass declines and methods of improvement.  Additionally, the presentation will highlight some emerging pests or problems facing golf course superintendents in Florida.

Bio: As Vice President of Agronomy for BrightView Golf Maintenance, Dr. Bunnell works closely with superintendents to develop sound and efficient agronomic programs utilizing science, diagnostic results, and client expectations. He also works with fertilizer and chemical manufactures to ensure the newest and most effective inputs for BrightView Golf Maintenance properties.
