The 2020 NFPGA Professional Championship Title isn't the only thing Matt Borchert, PGA, walked away with on June 23rd at Lakewood National Golf Club! He, along with 7 other talented NFPGA Golf Professionals, earned the opportunity to compete in the 54th PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie!
2020 NFPGA Professional Championship Results
On June 22nd and 23rd, a total of 59 NFPGA Golf Professionals competed in the 2020 NFPGA Professional Championship at Lakewood National Golf Club for a chance to compete in the 54th PGA Professional Championship at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie. The North Florida PGA Section is pleased to announce three time winner, Matt Borchert, PGA, from Winter Garden, Florida, as the 2020 NFPGA Professional Champion! Congratulations to our Champion and to our other 7 qualifying Professionals. What an accomplishment!
On June 23rd, Borchert claimed his NFPGA Professional Championship victory after shooting a 68 in Round One and a 66 in Round Two, carding a 134 two-day total (-10). Coming in four strokes behind, PGA Professionals, Greg Koch (Orlando, Fl) and Rod Perry (Port Orange, Fl), tied for second place carding a two-day total of 138 (-6) with Koch shooting a 69 in both Rounds and Perry shooting a 68 in Round One and a 70 in Round Two.
Following close behind in 4th place, David Hronek (Port Charlotte, Fl) shot a 67 in Round One and a 73 in Round Two, with a two-day total of 140 (-4). All three carding a 142 (-2) two-day total, Christian Bartolacci (Sarasota, Fl), Mark Rummings (Bradenton, Fl), and Ryan Hritz (Clearwater, Fl) tied for 5th Place. Our 8th qualifier, Keith Kulzer (Land O Lakes, Fl) followed one stroke behind, shooting a 73 in Round One and a 70 in Round Two, with a two-day total of 143 (-1).
