You have displayed incredible dedication to the game of golf and to the North Florida PGA Section in general. What is it that motivates you to show such dedication and devotion to the game?
I love golf! It has allowed me to be outdoors most of the time (I always said I never wanted to work or be in an office) I love the game, playing, and hitting balls. I get great enjoyment out of teaching people and seeing them get better. I love the people, the connections, and the friends and colleagues you make. On top of it all, I get to make money doing something I love!
Who introduced you to the game and what's the story behind that?
I have an old video of me using those big, plastic clubs and hitting plastic balls all over the house. I guess my dad is the one who sparked my interest. When my mom and dad divorced, I was 13 or 14 years old and he would pick me up on the weekends to golf and fish.
We believe that PGA Members are the experts in the game and business of golf. Our Members are passionate about playing, learning, serving, and leading. Out of these 4 passion areas, which is most important to you and why?
I guess I would say that playing for me is important. I love competing and testing myself and I am always trying to get better. Also, the relationships you develop with the guys and girls in the North Florida PGA is cool... except for when Steve McMillen (Executive Director) gives you a bogus ruling! (haha) But I do also like to help with ideas for learning.
What is something that your fellow PGA Members might not know about you?
I love fishing! Also, as outgoing as I am, I don't believe in myself as much as I should.
If your golf ball could speak, what would it say to you or about you?
Following up from the previous question, my golf ball would say... "Believe in and trust yourself. I will take care of the rest!"
