You have displayed incredible dedication to the game of golf and to the North Florida PGA Section in general. What is it that motivates you to show such dedication and devotion to the game?
My motivation is to continue to improve myself not only as a golf professional but also who I am as a father and teacher. It is rewarding to have the opportunity to be around so many great professionals. I truly love the golf industry and what I do. My commitment comes from playing the game and is a true reflection of the time and dedication I put into the game. When I was younger, I worked hard on my game and tried to participate in as many tournaments as I could. Now, I enjoy putting that same hard work into my profession and Section.
Who introduced you to the game and what's the story behind that?
My father introduced me to the game when I was around 7 years old. He had learned to play and got very into the game just a year or so before then. One day he came home with some clubs that were cut down and I was instantly hooked.
We believe that PGA Members are the experts in the game and business of golf. Our Members are passionate about playing, learning, serving, and leading. Out of these 4 passion areas, which is most important to you and why?
I definitely feel passionate about learning. There are so many different aspects to this business, and it is so important to stay up-to-date. As technology grows the game, there have been vast improvements in teaching and club fittings. I have enjoyed learning and growing, and found that I have a passion for staying on top of these developments in order to better serve our members.
What is something that your fellow PGA Members might not know about you?
I am naturally a pretty quiet person. Once you get to know me a little, watch out! I do like to play practical jokes.
If your golf ball could speak, what would it say to you or about you?
What happened? You were hitting it so well on the range.
