Please help us in welcoming our new PGA Career Consultant, Jim West!
“In my 27-plus years as a PGA professional, easily the most rewarding thing I have experienced has been the opportunity to help play a role in developing and furthering careers of golf industry professionals,” West said in a statement on his Facebook page. “Nothing warms my heart more than talking with a former assistant golf professional or superintendent that is now in a successful leadership role in our industry. With the help of a team of 18 other incredibly talented and dedicated career consultants, I will provide employment and counseling services to golf professionals and employers in the Georgia and North Florida PGA sections."
Jim is an accomplished, experienced, and decorated multi-course operator of fine golf facilities in the Southeastern United States. Jim has enjoyed an impressive career over the past 25+ years, which includes being recognized by the Tennessee Section PGA as the Golf Professional of the Year in 2014. The Tennessee Section also awarded Jim the Horton Smith Trophy for contributions to educational programs in 2015, 2016 and 2018 and the Bill Strausbaugh award in 2017 for mentoring golf professionals. Jim is a proud Quarter Century Member of the PGA of America and we are happy to welcome him to our team as the PGA Career Consultant!
