Four person scramble format is based on the players' best balls. Each player hits a drive and whichever ball is in the best position is where everyone's second shot takes place. Second strokes are made, process repeats until the ball is holed for the team score.
The Pro-Super-Plus began with an 8:00 AM shotgun on the Grand Cypress New Course. Teams Perry and Philo each recorded 7 birdies on the front nine. Team Perry consisted of Rod Perry, Bill Esser, Mike Becks, and John McCloskey from Crane Lakes Golf Club. Team Philo consisted of Ron Philo Jr., Matt Durkee, Jim VanHorn, and Adam Krestalude from Sawgrass Country Club. Team Lamere was right behind with 6 birdies. Team Lamere included Mike Lamere, Earl Mcminn, Cliff Easum, and Andy Kesling from Sun N Lake Golf Club. Only one team recorded a bogey on the front nine. On the back nine, Teams Perry and Philo ended their tie after Team Perry made birdies on every hole besides #18. Team Philo still made 6 birdies, solidifying their second place. Team Lamere made 7 birdies on the back nine, finishing T2 with Team Philo. Team Perry were the official TEXTRON GOLF Pro-Super-Plus champions after recording a total round score of 57.
Other notable finishes were Team Meyers (Eric Meyers, Ryan Meyers, Charles Schaeffer, and Brian Carrol) at 4 with a total round score of 60. Team Damesworth (David Damesworth, Rob Torri, Mr. and Mrs. Alan Keefe) from Orange Tree Golf Club finished at 5 with a total round score of 61.
