Assistants Association NFPGA Southwestern Chapter Assistant’s Association
OBJECTIVES
The objectives of the Assistant’s Association will be to instill the standards of the PGA of America; to promote the game of golf; to build a strong sense of participation within the Assistants’ Association as well as our Chapter; to provide a healthy, professional network between members of the group; and to conduct meetings and tournaments for the benefit of its members.
MENTORING PROGRAM
We are working on a mentoring program in order to help our Assistants progress through the PGM in a timely manner. Also we will be there for those who have either fallen behind, or out all together. Our goal is to help grow the number of eligible Assistants in our Chapter.

We are in the early stages of putting a schedule of events together for this year. Our events will run from May - October. We will have events on all days of the week in order to accommodate everyone’s schedules. We are aiming for 2 events per month. Most event formats will be low pro and skins, but this year we would like to introduce a two-person team event as well as a 36 hole season ending finale. We are exploring some different fundraising ideas to try and supplement the individual purses and to offset the expenses of the Assistant’s Cup our year end battle with the South FL Section.
